For this project, I created an audio of a teenage girl that starts off with her driving home after a long day, sending her phone to voicemail as she gets home and unwinds. The first call is from a doctor calling about results, in a tone that sets a narrative as maybe having positive results... Then its two voicemails from a male figure- timid and shy asking for forgiveness. Then it finally ends with an upbeat message from what sounds like a close friend looking to have a good time with no stress or worries- only love and support.
I used most of the clips I originally put in the shared class folder- I took two sounds off the internet and downloaded two more voicemails of mine I had kept from long long ago.
I definitely found that creating audio is a challenge for me because I came across many obstacles in the creation of this clip. Overall, I am happy with the way the clip turned out because I found that the best way to fill the time was to create more of a story with what I had and make it interesting and worth listening to for over 4 minutes. I initially had a broad idea of nostalgia but when struggling to make the audio long enough- I found that creating a story would be best since its hard to portray the nostalgic feeling I get to others when they don't recognize the voices or even know the year it was recorded. Making my audio more board and less personal, I found that it created a rather funny story that perfectly represents a possible 4 minutes and 33 seconds a teenage girl who was screwed over by a boy she was sleeping with but she's being supported and loved by friends oblivious to the situation- so everything is balanced.
