For this project I went through many imaginations of what themes I wanted to approach and how I wanted my animations to look. I quickly learned that animation was definitely a challenge for me and was harder then I initially anticipated. My overall video was about me hitting my head- and when I fell asleep I appear in my dream in the third person talking to my consciousness. My dream reenacted a flashback from the moment I hit my head followed by a devil version of myself laughing at my consciousness and calling her an idiot for having such a dumb moment and being seriously injured from it.
I think I was super successful with the running cycle, the talking mouth of the devil, and I thought my idea was super silly and funny and an enjoyable little snippet of me as a person. I definitely struggled with the overall smoothness and cohesiveness of the animations and I also struggled making those animations longer and more interesting and eventful. I think my other weakest part of this project was my acting skills as well as my editing power because if I were a little better on the Adobe platforms then I think the story line could have been executed differently and maybe much better.
I had nothing but fun during this process because it was entirely a learning experience for me, not ever having created animations or even done art digitally before. I think this project sparked an interest for me to get much better at film, video, audio, and animation which is something I've never known about enough to be interested in it.
These are the Illustrator images that I created and transferred to Photoshop so that I could create layers that would be accessible in Animate.
